A first question arises in all people mind "What is Android."
WHAT IS ANDROID ?
Android is an operating system which is developed by Open Handset Alliance, And it is commercially sponsored by Google. It is based on the Linux kernel user interface. It is designed for smartphones and tablet computers, and allows users to engage with it through a touchscreen interface. The first commercial Android device launched in September 2008.
Android is an operating system that aims to offer an affordable and customizable system for high-tech devices such as Smartphones, Tablets, Watches, Smart TVs, Cars and IOT devices. It is free and open source software; its source code is known as Android Open Source Project (AOSP), which is primarily licensed under the Apache License.
"Android" name and their logo are trademarks of Google which impose standards to restrict "uncertified" devices outside their ecosystem to use Android branding.
Android has been the best-selling OS worldwide on smartphones since 2011 and on tablets since 2013, it has over two billion monthly active users, the largest installed base of any operating system, and as of January 2021, the Google Play Store features over 3 million apps.
The current version is Android 11, released on September 8, 2020.
WORKING OF ANDOIRD OPERATING SYSTEM
Android is based on the Linux kernel. Its user interface is based on direct-manipulation, meaning it was designed for touchscreen devices, responding to tapping, swiping, pinching, and reverse pinching as well as its having a virtual keyboard. These functions operate under the use of internal hardware such as accelerometers, gyroscopes and proximity sensors. Android software is mainly used for mobile phones and tablets, but can also be used for TVs digital cameras and IOT devices.
